☕ Café Assistants Wanted

Bakara Café is a community-led, voluntary café that brings people together through cakes from around the world—and we’re looking for friendly, committed volunteers to help us run the café.

We open every Wednesday from 12:00–2:00pm, creating a welcoming space where people can connect, share cultures, and enjoy homemade cakes.

🌍 About the Role

As a Café Assistant, you will help create a warm and inclusive environment for all visitors.

You may:

• Welcome and serve guests
• Help with setting up and closing down the café
• Support serving cakes and drinks
• Engage with visitors and contribute to a friendly atmosphere

💛 Who We’re Looking For

We welcome volunteers from all backgrounds, and we especially encourage applications from individuals with lived experience of the asylum process.

You are:

• Friendly, reliable, and approachable
• Comfortable working with people from diverse backgrounds
• Willing to be part of a supportive team

⏰ Commitment

• Wednesdays, 12:00–2:00pm
• Regular attendance helps us keep the café running smoothly
